The former Big Brother star revealed to Closer that she had to be sectioned by her father after overdosing on pills in April last year.
Shortly before the incident, Grahame explained that she was only eating around 1,200 calories a day, which is 800 less than the recommended amount.
The 31-year-old stated that while she did not intend to kill herself, she had reached a low point after her mother moved to Dorset.
She said: "I took some sleeping tablets and kind of slept for about three days. Everyone was ringing me and, in the end, an ambulance was called and my door got knocked down.
"Throughout the years I managed to avoid being sectioned, but this time it was taken out of my hands."
Grahame was rushed to hospital, and was later sectioned by her father David. She explained that her treatment has helped change her lifestyle.
"I think I'm about 6 and a half stone... I feel much more calm," she said.
Nikki Grahame became one of Big Brother's most notorious housemates back in 2006, before returning for the 'Ultimate' edition in 2010.
She will soon tour with the stage play Up 4 A Meet, which will appear at the Edinburgh Festival this summer.
