'Home and Away's Tessa James 'leaves new husband for Hollywood'

Former Home and Away star Tessa James has reportedly flown to Los Angeles in a bid to launch her Hollywood career.

The actress, who is best known for playing Nicole Franklin in the soap, only married National Rugby League player Nate Myles in December. However, she is now said to have left Australia for three months to audition during the annual TV pilot season in LA.

A friend of Myles told The Daily Telegraph: "Tessa is away for three months and it's fair to say Nate is doing it a bit tough."

James is believed to be heading back to their Gold Coast home in late April.

Shortly before their Christmas wedding, James and Myles were plagued with relationship problem rumours around the same time that Myles was fined and sacked by former club Sydney Roosters for breaking the rules of a team alcohol ban.

James's former Home and Away co-star Esther Anderson, who left the soap shortly after James, is also believed to be trying to launch her Hollywood career.

She recently said: "I don't have a plan set in concrete to move there just yet. But there is so much more work over there."

Anderson is currently believed to be dating AFL player Joel Selwood.
