Jade Goody surgery 'went well'

A hysterectomy on Big Brother star Jade Goody has been performed successfully, according to her publicist.

Max Clifford claimed that the 27-year-old mother-of-two has the "best people looking after her" after she was diagnosed with cervical cancer last month.

Earlier this week, tests conducted on Goody revealed that the disease, of which she was informed while appearing on the Indian version of Big Brother, had not spread around her body.

Goody remains in intensive care at London's Royal Marsden Hospital, while her sons Bobbie Jack and Freddie are staying with their father, Jeff Brazier.
