Shetty buys stake in Indian cricket team

The Celebrity Big Brother winner and Bollywood star said that cricket is "not a sport in our country, it's a religion".
"I am very passionate about cricket and who better to invest in than the current reigning IPL champions. It completes the success story for the IPL team by merging with Bollywood," she said.
Shetty recently claimed that she regrets the furore caused by accusations of racism on the Channel 4 show.
She was speaking after Jade Goody appeared on the Indian version of Big Brother last August, during which she was diagnosed with cervical cancer.
