Verne Troyer 'threatened ex-girlfriend'

Verne Troyer has been accused of threatening his ex-girlfriend.

The Sun reports that Yvette Monet has been granted a temporary restraining order against the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant.

Court papers allegedly record that she asked Troyer to stop contacting her after he sent her a number of abusive text messages and emails describing her as a "hooker". The actor also reportedly warned Monet that she "better watch out" because his friends have guns.

Monet told a Los Angeles judge: "Verne's friend Bart is carrying guns and will do anything he says. His friend Jose is a cop and has guns as well."

She added: "I'm afraid for my life."

Last year, Troyer sued another of his ex-girlfriends, Ranae Shrider, for battery and inflicting emotional distress.
