Denise Welch, Tim Healy marriage 'will survive affair claims'

Denise Welch has reportedly vowed that her marriage to Tim Healy will survive allegations that she had an affair.

It was reported this week that the Celebrity Big Brother winner is to announce the end of her 24-year marriage to Healy and begin a romance with party planner Lincoln Townley, who she has apparently fallen in love with after seeing on a "casual basis" for eight months.



Apparently responding to the claims at Healy's 60th birthday party in Cheshire yesterday (January 29), Welch is quoted by The Mirror as telling a friend that the couple are still "incredibly secure" in their relationship.

"I haven't even had time to absorb and celebrate my Big Brother victory yet - let alone start digesting this latest storm in a teacup," she said. "To be honest, my biggest concern is that this doesn't ruin Tim's special day.

"Tim and I are incredibly secure and have a very happy marriage - family, our sons, are our biggest priority. I just want this all to go away so we can get on with our lives."

An insider added: "Tim and Denise are a loving couple and their children are their priority. She has never denied having an open marriage with Tim. They will not split up over this - and Denise has done nothing wrong."

Welch confessed last year that the couple have both cheated in the past.
