The Celebrity Big Brother star, who was evicted from the house last night (August 22), said the former couple "care about each other very much", adding that she understands why he sought an injunction against her.
"I cannot predict the future at all but the man has been in my life since I was a kid and he'll continue to be. I have huge affection for him and I am contented with the foundations of our friendship or relationship," she said.
"We have a very strong, solid friendship, which means a lot to me so I'm contented with the way things are. I'm not sure I'll ever have a conventional relationship and I'm not sure he will either but we care about each other very much and that's the bottom line."
Jasmine also confessed that she is "stunned" Cowell has an injunction in place to prevent her from discussing details of their relationship.
"I think it's unbelievably unfair that you have to have a huge amount of money to be able to speak the truth. I cannot understand how any person can have their freedom of speech removed from them, but it's something I've experienced and it's real and it has got to stop."
She revealed that the injunction was granted "several years ago" but insisted that it wasn't sought in an "aggressive manner".
"When somebody has a lot of money, when somebody has a lot of power and is a brand and a powerhouse, they employ people around them that protect them," she explained.
"So yes those people put every measure in place to protect him but that is them and not him. It was a moment in time when that was put in place that I understood and respected. It was a long time ago and we've continued our relationship and friendship since."
Jasmine wasn't able to say when she last saw Cowell.
