The Bollywood actress is seeking an injunction in a Mumbai court against what her publicist describes as Jasveer Barton's "untrue claims and demands".
Barton allegedly signed deals on Shetty's behalf while she was in the Big Brother house in January.
"Barton has been sending her legal notices, seeking a cut from her earnings," Dale Bhagwagar said in a statement.
"Going to court, Shilpa is just protecting herself."
