The companies have responded to a statement from Sheen, announcing that he was taking an immediate leave of absence from the show to check into a rehabilitation facility.
"CBS, Warner Bros Television and [producer] Chuck Lorre support Charlie Sheen in his decision today to begin voluntary in-patient care at a treatment centre," read the statement.
It continued: "We wish him nothing but the best as he deals with this personal matter. Production on Two and a Half Men will be temporarily suspended."
The events follow Sheen's Christmas Day domestic violence arrest and reports that he has been urged by friends to enter rehab after returning to alcohol. His wife Brooke Mueller is believed to have checked into a Malibu clinic earlier this month.
Two and a Half Men remains five episodes short of its 23-episode order for the current season.
