The pair - who worked together on the ABC romance reality show - confirmed that they had gone their separate ways on Monday night's season finale.
When asked if they were together by host Chris Harrison, Kitt replied: "No. He's single. If anyone wants to date a player here you go!"
Co-host Melissa Rycroft then asked what had happened, to which Kitt said: "I feel like he gave me reason to believe that he felt a certain way about me but behind the scenes he was saying I had a screw loose."
Rycroft then questioned Kovacs on whether he had been following a strategy in the house. "I went on there because it's a competition to win $250,000 and I never once lied to Elizabeth and said I wanted something I didn't want," he said. "I told her the truth."
He went on to say that the couple "gave it a shot for a quick minute" when they left the mansion but it didn't work out.
"I feel like there were feelings that had started on the show and we discussed those and were we wanted to go," said Kitt. "He wanted a casual relationship and I don't do casual relationships."
Kovacs added: "My ideas were completely different to hers and I don't feel like I was a bad guy and playing you and saying one thing and doing another, I think you're making that up in your head and I'm sorry you feel this way."
The Bachelor returns to ABC in January.
