Dancy expressed relief that his partner is shooting the Showtime terrorism drama in an area where "nobody's that interested in actors" while she is carrying their first child.
"It's fortunate that she's filming Homeland now in Charlotte, North Carolina, because tabloid culture can go a bit insane around actresses when they're pregnant," he told Metro.
"The fact that she's off in a city where nobody's that interested in actors is a really good thing."
Dancy added that he would "love" to work again with Danes, whom he met on the set of Evening in 2007, but they have to be "extra picky" with their roles.
The couple married in a private French ceremony in September 2009.
Danes recently confirmed that her pregnancy will not affect her character Carrie Mathison's storylines in season two of Homeland, which premieres in the US on September 30 and October on Channel 4 in the UK.
