Morse: 'Wendy Richard saved my life'

EastEnders star Laila Morse has claimed that Wendy Richard saved her life when she had cancer.

Morse, who plays Mo Slater, said Richard forced her to visit doctors to have a lump checked, which turned out to be breast cancer.

She told OK!: "If it wasn't for Wendy I'd be dead now."

Richard, who married John Burns last week, is currently fighting cancer of the bones and kidney.

"I start chemo next week and because I've never had to before, my oncologist says I can get the full effect from the treatment," said the actress.
