According to The Sun, the EastEnders actress made her wishes known in her will six months before she passed away in February.
The star's remains will now be scattered with late terrier Shirley's and those of her husband John Burns when he dies.
It has also been claimed that Richard planned to leave her £2 million estate to her former Walford co-star Natalie Cassidy if 45-year-old Burns died within 28 days of her. Cassidy played Sonia, the daughter-in-law of her character Pauline Fowler on the BBC One soap, and regarded the Albert Square legend as a "second mum".
In the end, Cassidy reportedly received cookbooks and jewellery from the will, while Richard's stepdaughters Jade, 16, and Shannen, 18, inherited jewellery and £5,000 each.
Richard lost her life to cancer in February. The 65-year-old had previously fought breast cancer on two separate occasions.
