Jessie Wallace's jilted groom Vince Morse has allegedly admitted that a fantasy threesome led to their wedding being cancelled.

The EastEnders star cancelled her big day earlier this week amid claims that Morse had sent an explicit picture of Wallace to ex-girlfriend Karen Short. The Sun claims that the catering boss has admitted to sending the picture in the hope of making his fantasy a reality.

Morse apparently told a friend: "I had this fantasy and I was really drunk. Me and Jessie had had a silly row like many couples do. I was angry and tried to make my fantasy a reality by sending Karen that picture.

"I was showing off and when you're drunk you do all sorts of stupid things. It looks like it's destroyed the love of my life. It was probably the most stupid thing I've ever done. I'm an idiot. My sordid sex fantasies have ruined my life."

Morse continued: "A lot of men have fantasies involving their wives and girlfriends but they keep it in their minds. It would never have come true. There was no way in a million years that Jessie would be involved in something like that. She knew nothing. It was purely in my head and I will regret this for the rest of my life."

The 50-year-old reportedly sent a topless picture of Wallace - who plays Kat Moon on the BBC soap - to Short, who he dated for three years until 2005.

"I enjoyed the attention from Karen and had a great relationship with her," Morse is said to have confessed. "I was just feeling sorry for myself and needed an ego boost. I guess I wanted to prove to myself that it was still there. How stupid was that?"

"Jessie knew nothing of what had gone on with Karen. It was a bit of excitement. I wanted to have my cake and eat it."

Another friend of the couple claimed that they had had a "strained" conversation yesterday following reports that Wallace was threatening police action if Morse did not stop trying to get in touch.

"Jessie is the only woman I want. I've never felt the way I feel about Jessie with anyone else," he is said to have told the source. "It makes me sick inside to think that I've been so bloody stupid and caused her so much pain, upset and heartache.

"I'd do anything to win her back and I just hope she will come round and see it for what it was. I'm a complete idiot. I accept she doesn't want to marry me because she always said trust was the most important thing to her and I betrayed that. But we have so much to sort out.

Morse reportedly added: "At least she's speaking to me now and I hope and pray that I can win her back. She means more to me than anything."
