Jessie Wallace's ex-fiancé Vince Morse apologises: 'I'm sorry I've humiliated you'

Jessie Wallace's jilted fiancé Vince Morse has apologised to her for "humiliating" her publicly.
The EastEnders star called off her wedding at the last minute, after discovering that the catering boss had sent messages and an explicit picture to an ex-girlfriend.

Speaking on ITV's This Morning, Morse said that the pair's "whirlwind romance" began with an "intense" first date which "wasn't that great". Describing Wallace as a "very, very private person", he said that the relationship advanced when they "got rid of all the uncomfortableness".
Recalling the night he sent the messages to his former partner, Morse claimed that a "little dispute" had "escalated into a bit of a Mexican stand-off".
"I went out with the boys and got completely plastered," he said, admitting that "saucier" text messages led to him getting carried away and sending the picture.
"Once that happened, there was no going back. Trust me, if I could ever take that back, I would. I did send it, I was drunk, I was never going to do anything. It was silly.
"I betrayed [Jessie's] trust. Whether I can ever come back from that is another thing. But there has been so much rubbish written over the last couple of weeks. Every time I pick up a paper, I seem to have done something else. I made a mistake. I'm mortified that I've done that."

Morse insisted that he knew he had made a mistake, but told hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby that he "would never have done it again. I probably won't have the chance to do it again."
Asked if he and Wallace, who went on the booked honeymoon with a male friend, had spoken, he said: "Yes we've spoken. It's not been great, but we are in contact. It's really hard to say [if we could reconcile].
"Until this all stops and the press goes away, that's why I'm doing this today - to finalise it. People are bored with reading the same old hashed-up stuff with someone making up a tiny bit more to spice it up. I thought I'll come on here now and say I'm really sorry. I've humiliated her. I would do anything to take that back, but I can't.
"Once this is done you won't hear from me again. I'm not here to court publicity. I don't want to be paid for anything. I don't go to the papers," he said, adding that any fees he had received would be going to charity.
However, Morse admitted that Wallace - Kat Moon in the BBC soap - would be "furious" that he was speaking about their relationship on national television.
"At the end of the day, I just want to say I'm really sorry. I made a real, real idiot of myself and of her," he insisted. Speaking directly to Wallace - during which he called her by her real name Karen - he said: "It doesn't stop me loving you or wanting to be with you. I know it's probably going to be impossible because it's so public, I just want you to know that from the bottom of my heart, I'm sorry."
