The duo are joined by newcomers Danielle Harold, Matt Lapinskas and Tony Discipline in Now magazine, where they discuss their rise to fame as part of the BBC soap.
Speaking about her encounters with the paparazzi, McGarty (Whitney Dean) said: "I quite like it. The paparazzi are nice people who are just doing their jobs. It's part of the job."
Recalling the strange gifts she has received from fans, the actress revealed: "Someone once sent me a Black & Decker drill. I've no idea why."
Meanwhile, newcomers Lapinskas and Discipline (Anthony and Tyler Moon) said that they are enjoying the "mental" attention they have been getting since joining Albert Square.
"I get marriage proposals and people wanting my babies, but nothing really bizarre," Lapinskas joked, admitting that his mum "makes sure" he replies to cards for fans. "It's like she's my PA. I'll have to start paying her soon."
The full feature appears in the new issue of Now magazine, out now.
