Brooke Kinsella has been appointed an MBE for her campaign work against knife crime in the wake of her brother's murder in 2008.
The ex-EastEnders actress received the honour from Prince Charles at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace yesterday (December 14).

Speaking to reporters after the event, Kinsella dedicated her MBE to her brother Ben, who was fatally stabbed at the age of 16, and other victims of knife crime.
"This is all Ben, it's not me," the BBC quotes her as saying. "I'm so proud of him so I completely dedicate it to Ben and to every other kid we've lost.
"I fully understand I'm not the only person who does work like this so I'd like to be humble and recognise everybody who is working hard."
Speaking about the ceremony on This Morning today (December 15), Kinsella added: "It was really bittersweet. Obviously its an amazing honour, but then I remember why I've got that honour in the first place, and as lovely as it is I'd much rather have my brother than an MBE."
The 28-year-old added that although the ceremony seemed like "a bit of a blur", she remembered that Prince Charles had been "very, very lovely".
