Since leaving Albert Square, the former Stacey Slater actress has landed roles in supernatural dramas Being Human and - more recently - Bedlam.
When asked by the Radio Times whether she thinks spirits exist, she replied: "I do, but I'd rather not see one. I'd have a heart attack."
Turner, 24, also said she visited mediums and further claimed that she felt her late grandmother's hand on her shoulder at an awards ceremony.
"I've been to see mediums and they've said, 'Your nan's here' and sometimes I do think that I've been with her," she added.
"I was at an awards do once, I felt a hand on my shoulder and there was no-one there. I don't know if you make yourself believe it, but I do think she was there."
Turner was cast in upcoming ITV2 witch drama Switch earlier this year.
She starred in the first two episodes of improvised BBC One drama True Love on Sunday and Monday night. The show concludes tonight at 10.35pm.
