Police announced the news this afternoon (September 12), explaining that the head was officially identified through McCluskie's dental records, Sky News reports.
The body part was recovered from Regent's Canal in Hackney, East London on Sunday (September 9) after a member of the public made the discovery and alerted police.
McCluskie's torso was found in the canal on March 6, a few days after she had been reported missing by family and friends. Further body parts were recovered later that month.
Following today's identification, police have confirmed that all of McCluskie's body has now been recovered.
The actress's brother Tony has been charged with her murder and will stand trial in November.
Gemma played the role of Kerry Skinner in EastEnders in 2000 and 2001.
