Janus turns vegetarian to stay thin

EastEnders star Samantha Janus has revealed that she is becoming a vegetarian to maintain her slim figure.

The actress, who plays Ronnie Mitchell in the BBC soap, admitted that she has felt increasingly conscious of her appearance since landing the role earlier this year.

She told BANG Showbiz: "I have started to watch my weight now and I'm getting more and more worried about meat. So I'm cutting it out and becoming more of a vegetarian."

She added: "My New Year's resolution is to stop eating."

The 35-year-old recently revealed that she wants fiancé Mark Womack to propose again because their engagement "doesn't count any more".
