The couple dated for several years in the '90s but ended their relationship in 1997. They later got back together, and became engaged in 2006, after the Desperate Housewives actress broke up with personal trainer Nicklas Söderblom.
Nicola Perna, a representative for Sheridan, said in a statement: "Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton have amicably ended their engagement. They appreciate your respect for their privacy in this matter."
Sheridan, 44, was married to actor Harry Hamlin from 1991 to 1993. Bolton, whose hits include 'How Am I Supposed to Live Without You' and 'When a Man Loves A Woman', has three daughters from his 15-year marriage to Maureen McGuire.
