Metcalfe: 'I'm the new James Blunt'

Jesse Metcalfe has boasted that he is going to become the next James Blunt when he launches his music career with his debut album.

The Desperate Housewives star is due to release the LP later this year and is confident it is going to be popular.

He has said: "People are going to be shocked by my first album. It is going to reveal my unseen mature side and I've even co-written some of the songs.

"I think I could be the next James Blunt."

But the plans have not gone down so well with his ex-girlfriend Nadine Coyle who is reportedly annoyed with his ploy to become a pop star.

The Girls Aloud singer thinks it could jeopardise her chances of being taken seriously musically when she relocates to the US.
