Marcia Cross won't have more children

Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross has revealed that she won't have any more children after suffering a life-threatening illness while carrying her twin daughters.

The 45-year-old told Metro: "My eyesight started going, and I gained 12 pounds in one week. Both are symptoms of pre-eclampsia, a complication that is life-threatening for mother and baby. Within 12 hours of being diagnosed - at 35 weeks - I had a C-section (Cesarean section)."

Cross gave birth to twins, Eden and Savannah, in February last year and says she and stockbroker husband Tom Maloney may look at adoption in the future.

The actress recently failed in an attempt to prevent nude photographs of herself being published online.
