George Sampson has hinted that he sees his long-term future in acting rather than dancing.

The Britain's Got Talent champion is currently promoting his first ever movie Streetdance 3D, while he is also now a cast member on BBC One drama Waterloo Road.

Speaking about his new profession on This Morning today, the 16-year-old commented: "It's good - it's new but I'm enjoying it. I get so many surprises from it.

"Because I'm so used to dancing, I've kind of done everything I want to do in dance. There's more I can do, but acting is new and I'm learning stuff, kind of like a newbie, so I'm enjoying it more."

Of his Waterloo Road part, he added: "I joined the cast about three months ago. I've done one series now and I think I'm up for another two."

Sampson's Waterloo Road character Kyle Stack is expected to make his debut in the second half of series six. The show's fifth run is currently airing on BBC One.
