Weatherfield actor dates makeup girl

Coronation Street's Gray O'Brien has sparked a romance with one of the soap's makeup girls.

The 40-year-old actor, who plays Weatherfield's evil entrepreneur Tony Gordon, began seeing Jill Farrimond, 42, a number of weeks ago after they met on set. They have since spent a number of nights together at each other's houses.

A Corrie source told The Mirror: "He and Jill seem really loved up. On location they're always cosying up. Jill is a confident, bubbly, fun, girl. She and Gray have really hit it off."

O'Brien's on-screen fiancée Alison King - Carla Connor in the soap - is expecting her first child with Corrie sound technician Adam Huckett in February.
