Kym Marsh: 'Boob op wasn't a whim'

Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has dismissed suggestions that her boob operation was a spur of the moment decision.

The 33-year-old actress, who plays Michelle Connor on the ITV1 soap, recently went under the knife for a £4,000 breast enlargement, which boosted her assets to a D-cup.

Discussing the move in an interview with We Love Telly! magazine, she insisted: "I didn't do it on a whim and I was really nervous, but it was something I really wanted."

Marsh added that her chosen clinic encouraged her to think carefully about the surgery and its dangers before making her final decision.

She explained: "They didn't just say: 'Oh, OK then'. They asked me: 'Have you really thought this through? Are you sure you want to do this?' And they did warn me: 'This can happen and that can happen'."

Asked if she splashed out on any other procedures, Marsh replied: "I had liposuction. I've always said the worst thing about my body was my belly."

Marsh is currently engaged to former Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas. She has two children, David, 14, and Emily, 11, from a previous relationship.
