Corrie's Kat Kelly likes bargain clothes

Coronation Street star Katherine Kelly has revealed that she likes to search for bargains in Primark.

The actress, better known as troubled Becky McDonald in the ITV1 soap, insisted that she cannot afford to splash out regularly on designer clothing.

"At Coronation Street we may play for the equivalent of Manchester United football team, but we're on Stockport County wages," Kelly is quoted by Female First as saying. "Topshop is great and Primark is wicked."

The 29-year-old also admitted that she would not be able to follow in the footsteps of Becky by working in a café.

She commented: "I can't cook, I hate it. I find it so unrewarding. When I'm hungry I want it done now. I'll go for any takeaway - everything from pizza to sushi."

Kelly recently spoke about being forced to wear Becky's clothes in her own time during a filming trip to Romania.
