Corrie's Gregson 'to marry next year'

Coronation Street star Simon Gregson has set a date for his wedding to long-term girlfriend Emma Gleave, according to a report.

The 35-year-old actor, who plays unlucky-in-love Steve McDonald on the Weatherfield soap, will tie the knot with Gleave in December next year, The Sun claims.

Gregson is believed to have met Gleave, 26, at a Christmas party in 2005 before starting to date her shortly afterwards. Their partnership followed the soap star's break-up with previous girlfriend Joanna Simpson.

In 2006, it emerged that the pair were engaged to be married and they have since welcomed two children together. Their first baby boy Alfie arrived in September 2007, while their second son Harry was born in July this year.

Gregson's Weatherfield character Steve was seen marrying fan favourite Becky (Katherine Kelly) in August.
