Thomas, O'Brien 'rowed over daughter'

Ryan Thomas and Tina O'Brien's recent police incident was sparked by a row over their young daughter, a report has claimed.

Yesterday, it emerged that Coronation Street actor Thomas had been arrested on suspicion of assault following a heated argument with O'Brien at his home in Cheadle Heath, Greater Manchester. He was released without charge in the early hours of Saturday morning.

According to the Daily Star, the dispute began on Friday when O'Brien discovered that her ex-partner was secretly having a poker night with his friends while he was looking after their 13-month-old daughter Scarlett.

A source said: "She rang and said she didn't want Scarlett there with the boys round the house. She went round to the house where they had a big argument."

Thomas, who plays Weatherfield builder Jason Grimshaw, split from O'Brien last month. They had been together for three years after meeting on the set of the ITV1 soap, where O'Brien starred as Sarah Platt.

The 25-year-old recently said: "I would like to make it clear that I have not assaulted and would never assault Tina. The police were satisfied this was the case and I was released without any action being taken."
