Kym Marsh: 'Ryder and I didn't get on'

Kym Marsh has revealed that her marriage to Jack Ryder ended because he didn't like socialising.

The couple married in 2002 but decided to separate a year later. They settled their divorce last August.

Speaking on Piers Morgan's Life Stories, Marsh explained that they weren't compatible.

"Jack didn't like to go out or socialise," she said. "He was really into computer games, which makes him sound about 12... we just weren't getting on. Jack wasn't really a party-goer. He didn't drink.

"I am a party girl. I like going out, I like having a drink occasionally, I like socialising. And hey, there's nothing wrong with that."

Marsh admitted that she had previously had doubts about whether the relationship would work, explaining: "I always thought we were very different. I'd never met a guy who didn't want to go out and drink. In some respects, I liked that - a good influence on me. I thought maybe this was right."
