Bruce Jones launches new barman career

Bruce Jones has apparently opened a bar with Black Lace frontman Dene Michael.

The former Coronation Street actor, 57, vowed to address his alcohol addiction in March after admitting to a dangerous driving incident last year.

Now Jones has described Agadoo, situated in Sunderland and named after the 1984 Black Lace hit, as a "new beginning". He told the Daily Mail: "This bar in Sunderland will be the first of many. We want to set up others in Blackpool and Manchester, and all across the country - but this will be our first."

A section of the pub will include an open comedy stage, which Jones and Michael hope will be the focus of a new reality TV show."We want to give people who have never even performed on stage before the chance to shine," he said.
