Max George has spoken of his desire to have children with his fiancée Michelle Keegan.

The Wanted singer, who proposed to the Coronation Street actress in June, shared his hope that the couple would soon have a daughter and vowed to resist giving their offspring a "crazy celebrity name".

"I really like traditional names," George told The Mirror. "I've picked out Mary and Theresa because they're the names of my grandmothers.

"I'm not keen on these crazy celebrity baby names. The likes of Harper Seven is a bit much. It's a good job Beckham's shirt number wasn't 69, isn't it?!"

George further teased that his Wanted bandmates had enlisted the help of a celebrity lookalike to take his place on the wedding day.

"There's been talk of the boys performing, but getting X Factor's Shayne Ward as a stand-in for me as we look similar," he joked.

On his whirlwind engagement to Keegan, George added: "I think realising that I'm engaged will take a lot of getting used to right until the day, but I'm on top of the world."

George stated last month that proposing to Keegan was "the obvious and right thing to do".
