The Stockport-born actress said that she still gets excited by simple pleasures after landing the role of Tina McIntyre in the ITV soap.
"I love going down my local. It's much better than all that glam, posh stuff," she told the Daily Star. "I'd rather have a pub quiz then a kebab and chips from my local chippy to be honest."
Keegan's fiancé Max George of The Wanted claimed in June that the couple are not planning to have a big showbiz wedding.
"Michelle and I are together because we want to be and nothing to do with the industry," he said. "I don't think about us as being part of a celebrity couple. I just see her as Michelle and she sees me as Max."
However, George later confessed that he and Keegan would consider selling the rights to their nuptials.
