Coronation Street actress Kim Ryder has admitted that she is scared that she could become a grandmother at the age of 35.

The 30-year-old actress, who has a twelve-year-old called David and a nine-year-old daughter, Emily, is worried that her son could have a child when he is eighteen - the same age that she gave birth to him.

Ryder told Sunday magazine: "Technically, I could be a grandmother at 35 - that's frightening.

"I hadn't planned to be a mum at 18. And if my kids told me they wanted to have their own children at that age, I would tell them what a bad idea it is."

But she has insisted that she would support her children if they did become young parents and revealed she would still like to have more children herself, saying: "It's even more scary because I definitely want another child of my own. It's been almost 10 years since I last gave birth and I'm sure a lot has changed."
