Kym Marsh has announced that she is hoping to try for more children in the future.

The 33-year-old actress, best known for her role as Coronation Street's Michelle Connor, revealed her motherhood desires following her recent reunion with ex-Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas.

Marsh already has two children - David, 14, and Emily, 11 - from her relationship with ex-boyfriend Dave Cunliffe. Meanwhile, she and Lomas suffered the sad loss of their first child together in February when their baby boy Archie Jay died moments after being born 18 weeks premature.

Speaking to Closer magazine, the soap star confirmed: "I want more kids in the future. Children are amazing. The unconditional love you get from them is special.

"I have a very open relationship with David and Emily. They talk to me about stuff that kids might usually feel embarrassed to discuss with their parents. We have fun together."

On her first experiences as a parent, she continued: "I was only 18 when I had David, so I was terrified of being a mum. I was only a child myself! I lived on benefits and used to think, 'I'm getting out of here and giving my kids a better life'. I worked really hard to get to where I am."

Marsh recently admitted that her tragic experience with Archie had left her feeling scared about pregnancy.
