Lea Michele: 'I'm confident with my body'

Glee star Lea Michele has revealed that she feels confident with her body.

The actress said that her family taught her to accept herself for who she is and that Glee has the same effect on some viewers.

"Confidence comes from within," she told Fabulous. "I'm very confident with my body and the way I look. I have a great family, who have instilled in me to believe in myself.

"I get a lot of messages from fans saying that they never felt that their specific type of beauty was really beautiful, but since watching Glee they really feel that their uniqueness is what makes them special."

Speaking of the similarities between her character Rachel Berry and herself, she added: "I've always been very outgoing and outspoken. I am driven in my career, and I have a passion for singing and performing as much as she does. But Rachel has to be front and centre all the time, whereas I like to take more of a back seat."

Michele also confessed that she is "so thankful for getting to play such an awesome character and for the relationship that I have with my cast".
