Sarandon 'would have appeared on Glee'

Susan Sarandon has claimed that the creators of Glee did not contact her about appearing in the show's recent tribute episode to The Rocky Horror Picture Show, contrary to reports.

The actress, who played the role of Janet in the cult seventies classic, has said that she enjoyed the Glee tribute episode and would have been interested in making a cameo appearance.

"What I saw I thought was so fabulous," Sarandon told E! Online. "I thought it was so moving.

"[People] kept asking if I was going to be on the episode," Sarandon explained. "But nobody spoke to me about doing anything on the show."

When asked what she thought about the rumours that Glee creator Ryan Murphy is planning a remake of the famous musical, Sarandon said that a new version would have to be done differently as the original would be hard to outdo.

"If they did it completely different in like 3D or something, because you cannot do it anywhere near the way it was at that time with those people," Sarandon added.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show was released in 1975 and starred Sarandon alongside Tim Curry, Meat Loaf, Barry Bostwick and Peter Hinwood.
