Darren Criss: 'I'm enjoying my success'

Darren Criss has insisted that he is enjoying his showbiz success.

Talking to AOL Music, the Glee star revealed that he prefers to keep up a hectic schedule as it allows him to soak up more of the experiences that he enjoys.

"People are always like 'Oh, you're moving so fast, you're going from place to place to place, you don't have time to enjoy it'. But I'm like 'No, that's not how it works. I am enjoying it; that's why I'm moving so fast'," he explained.

"My mum always gets on my case 'cause at meals I always eat super fast, and she's like, 'You don't take time to enjoy your meal!' and I'm like, 'No, I enjoy the crap outta that meal, that's why I ate it so fast!'"

He went on to say that he understands others may not be up to his pace, adding: "I'm always just waiting for someone to cut me off; I'm a chatty guy. There are some things that I didn't really put into the equation of what would happen in my life, so there are some unexpected things that are really great, you know?"

Criss recently revealed that his love of Disney films - and particularly Robin Williams's performance as the Genie in Aladdin - inspired him to become an actor.

He has said that he would consider starring in a Glee spinoff should one be written.
