'Glee's Naya Rivera becomes acne treatment Proactiv's new spokesperson

Naya Rivera has been named as the new spokesperson for acne treatment product Proactiv.

The Glee actress, who admitted that she used Proactiv to treat her acne problems, joins other celebrities including Jessica Simpson, Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry as a brand spokesperson.

"The make-up artist on the set of Glee gave it to me and I kept it using it because I knew it worked for other people," Rivera said, reports US Weekly. "I really wanted to work with Proactiv because the products really helped me."

Rivera recently defended her boss Ryan Murphy against reports that he has caused on-set friction, tweeting that she is "proud to work" with the Glee creator

In September, Murphy sparked controversy when he spoke about possible cast members leaving the show but later admitted it was a mistake to discuss such matters publicly.

He said: "It just snowballed. It took a turn and got nasty. I think fans resented it."
