'Lazy' Laurie not averse to strike
Hugh Laurie has admitted that an actors' strike would have its benefits.

The House star said he is "very lazy" and would welcome the opportunity to take more time off work.

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) recently began negotiations with studio heads for a new contract ahead of the current deal's June 30 expiry date. Actors may hold a similar walkout to the WGA if no agreement is reached before then.

Talking about the threat of industrial action, Laurie joked: "Am I worried that there won't be an actors' strike? Of course not. [But] a little tiny strike every now and again is good. I'm very lazy."

He revealed that he had made the most of his time off during the recent writers' strike, saying: "I did absolutely nothing. I was like a lizard on a rock. I struck a pose and held it for three months."

Laurie previously said he misses his wife Jo and their three children, who have remained at home in the UK while he films the show in the US.
