The 10-year-old opera star, who wowed audiences on the fifth season of the NBC show, told Leno that she used to be a cheerleader and still remembered one cheer.
She then treated the audience to a rendition of the cheer, which was: "Alligator, crocodile / Let's get funky for a while / Get funky / Hey hey / Get funky!"
Evancho - who performed after her interview - went on to tell Leno about her musical background and family, saying: "I started singing two years ago when I had just turned 8 years old. My first performance was a talent show. I was first runner up to a 20-year-old opera singer... My whole family is pretty musical."
Fellow guest Jimmy Smits, who stars on NBC's Outlaw, also voiced his appreciation for Evancho, saying that he had been in the audience at the America's Got Talent finale last week.
"You were like an angel. I was there. It was like a voice from God," he said. "You are incredible, you really are."
Evancho can be seen on the America's Got Talent live tour, which begins October 1 in Oakland, CA.
