Nick Cannon has quit his New York City radio show after two years on the air, it has been announced.
The singer said he reached the decision to leave his WXRK morning show after consulting with his doctors in the wake of his recent medical issues.

Cannon was rushed to an Aspen medical centre in January for "mild kidney failure" and was hospitalised again last Friday (February 10) for blood clots in his lungs as well an enlarged ventricle in his heart.
The presenter said that his desire to regain his health means he will have to step away from his daily radio programme.
"Under doctor's orders, I have been asked to cut back on some of my professional commitments to allow my body to get the rest it needs to keep up with the demands of my multitasking schedule," Cannon said in a statement.
He added humorously: "Even Superman has to sleep."
Cannon - who is married to Mariah Carey - will remain as host of America's Got Talent and will also continue weekly radio series Cannon's Countdown.
The star recently announced that he is to direct his first movie, which he has described as "today's version of House Party".
