Matt Smith 'rents Barry Island home'

Matt Smith has rented an £8,000-a-month house on Barry Island, it has been revealed.

The Doctor Who actor found the property while scouting locations for the programme with showrunner Steven Moffat, reports The Sun.

"Matt used to use a flat in Cardiff. But he's found this new place because Daisy will be spending a lot of time with him," a source said.

"The property is amazing, it is the perfect place for a loved-up couple... We've even had a mention of a secret wine cellar."

The insider added: "It's the kind of house the Doctor would live in. It will be their retreat, although they will invite the gang down to party."

It was recently suggested that Smith and Lowe will move to Ibiza next summer in order to pursue DJing gigs at the island's clubs.
