'Doctor Who' star Mary Tamm 1950-2012: Her career in pictures

Actress Mary Tamm has died at the age of 62, following an 18-month battle with cancer.

In addition to her Doctor Who role as the first Romana, the star appeared on popular soap Brookside between 1993 and 1995 and starred in 1974 film The Onedin Line.

Her additional credits include roles on EastEnders, Agatha Christie's Poirot and 1978's Return of The Saint.
