'Doctor Who' star to play Hamlet?
David Tennant is reportedly in line to star in a production of Hamlet for the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), months after he encountered The Bard whilst playing the lead role in Doctor Who.

According to the Daily Mail, Tennant is the preferred choice to play Hamlet in the summer of 2008 for the RSC, but this could clash with the filming of a fifth season of the revived science fiction series, which would be Tennant's fourth in the central role.

However, it is unknown whether the popular actor will still be involved in the series beyond the upcoming fourth season, which has just begun shooting in Cardiff. Tennant will be joined by household names such as Kylie Minogue and Catherine Tate for the next round of intergalactic adventures.
