The 25-year-old lost 139lbs during her time on the ranch, making her the winner of the $100,000 at-home prize for season eight.
She also dyed her dark hair blonde before appearing on the live finale this month.
Speaking to ET Online, she said: "Throughout the process, like when I would go somewhere with Daniel [Wright] or Sean [Algaier] when I was visiting them, people would recognise them because they looked like mini-versions of themselves.
"Whereas, I am a chameleon. I look completely different. People would stare at me in grocery stores, and before I left, they were, 'Are you Rebecca? Wow you look amazing'. At the beginning, I was, 'Nobody knows who I am'. Daniel was, 'That is a good thing. That is how awesome your transformation is'."
Meyer added that she was "only dyed dark for about a year of my life.... It was fun to literally go back to my roots and complete the transformation".
The new season of The Biggest Loser premieres January 5 on NBC.
