Tim Gunn to write 'Fashion Bible'

Project Runway star Tim Gunn is to pen a book about the history of fashion, it has been announced.

People's Style Watch reports that Tim Gunn's Fashion Bible: The Fascinating History of Everything in Your Closet will take a humourous look at the roots of several fashion trends and offer fashion tips to the reader.

"Every item of clothing means something, usually a lot of somethings," Gunn said in an official statement. "By pointing out what those things are, I hope this book will delight readers and magically transform their cluttered closets into world of wonder."

The book will be a follow-up to last year's Gunn's Golden Rules, which ranked as a New York Times bestseller.

Tim Gunn's Fashion Bible: The Fascinating History of Everything in Your Closet is to be published in autumn 2012.
