'Housewives' star's ex-fiancé killed

The ex-fiancé of Real Housewives Of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss has been confirmed dead.

AJ Jewell was killed during a brawl at a strip club on Friday night (October 2).

He was taken to Piedmont Hospital following the fight at Body Tap in north-west Atlanta, but medics were unable to save him.

Police spokesman Lieutenant Keith Meadows commented: "It appears he received a severe blow to the head because he was involved in an altercation in the parking lot."

Officers do not believe that the killing was intentional. They have revealed that a key witness has been contacted, who should be able to provide vital answers to their inquiries.

Recently, Burruss told Essence that she and Jewell were "on hiatus".
