Kandi Burruss has said that she wouldn't have believed in "a million years" that her ex-fiancé Ashley Jewell would end up being killed.
Jewell died at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta last night, following a fatal altercation in the parking lot of strip club Body Tap, of which he was a co-owner.
The 33-year-old Real Housewives Of Atlanta star joined the cast of the Bravo reality show this year, and was often shown on-camera with 'AJ', as he was referred to in episodes of the series. They were showcased planning their wedding, amid the concerns of her mother, who felt that the father-of-six had too many children.
Burruss recently admitted that their relationship status was "on hiatus", but that the split had nothing to do with his children.
The Grammy-winning producer, who helped co-star Kim Zolciak on her single 'Tardy For The Party', wrote about the loss on her Twitter account, E! reports.
She wrote: "I could never n a million years imagine this happening. please pray for AJ's children. that's who im the most concerned 4 [sic]."
Burruss revealed that she was on her way to her uncle's funeral and told fans that she didn't want to discuss the matter further, adding: "im just in one of those moods where i dont wanna talk, i dont wanna b held & told its gonna b ok. i just wanna cry myself 2 sleep, alone [sic]."
It was reported earlier that Fredrick Richardson has been arrested in conjunction with Jewell's death.
