'Housewives' Zolciak reacts to Jewell death

Real Housewives Of Atlanta castmember Kim Zolciak has reacted to the death of co-star Kandi Burruss's ex-fiancé Ashley Jewell.

Local law enforcement officials have said that Jewell died from head injuries, following a fight in the parking lot of strip club Body Tap on Friday night, while Fredrick Richardson was later taken into custody.

Burruss replaced season one castmate DeShawn Snow, while she bonded with Zolciak during recording of the single 'Tardy For The Party'.

Zolciak told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that she was "disgusted" that someone had taken Jewell's life and that her "prayers" were with Burruss.

She said: "My heart and prayers are with Kandi, AJ's children and family. I can't imagine the loss they're feeling. I'll be there for my dear friend Kandi. I adored AJ. He will definitely be missed."

Bravo had planned to tape a two-part reunion special next week to air on the network on October 29 and November 5. However, it is unknown at this time if the filming will still transpire.

Burruss had recently announced that she and Jewell were no longer together, while she said yesterday that she wanted to "cry [herself] to sleep" over the news of Jewell's passing.
